| CHRISTIAN HERITAGE SCHOOL CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Reports To: President and Head of School Position Summary: The Chief Financial Officer provides leadership and oversight for the school’s financial management, human resources, business operations, and campus systems and processes. The role supports the President by delivering accurate financial insights, forecasting, and strategic recommendations, while ensuring the effective day-to-day functioning of North and South Campuses. This position's direct reports include: Business Manager, Financial Aid Director, Human Resources Coordinator, Director of Campus Operations, and Dining Services Director. Financial Leadership & Stewardship - Oversee all financial operations (budgeting, accounting, reporting)
- Develop and manage the annual budget in partnership with the President
- Monitor financial performance and provide regular reporting
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and best practices
- Oversee audits and financial reviews
Forecasting & Strategic Insight - Develop short and long-term financial forecasts
- Model scenarios related to enrollment growth, staffing, and program expansion
- Identify financial risks and opportunities
- Provide proactive recommendations to support decision-making
- Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights
Human Resources & Risk Management - Oversee hiring processes, onboarding, and staff records
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and policies
- Support leadership in performance management systems
- Help continue a healthy, mission-aligned staff culture
- Compare and project compensation and staffing structures
- Ensure appropriate insurance coverage options for staff and liability protection for the campus
Operational Oversight - Direct business processes related to billing, tuition, and vendor accountability
- Oversee and support dining program management
- Maintain operational efficiency across departments, specifically campus operations
- Evaluate and improve campus systems and processes
- Support the financial aid process to align with long-term sustainability
Leadership & Collaboration - Serve as a member of the executive leadership team
- Collaborate with academic and administrative leaders
- Support school-wide strategic initiatives
- Contribute to long-term planning and sustainability
- Present financial and operational reports to the Board of Trustees and the CHS Foundation Board
