| North Idaho College Workforce Training Center is seeking an experienced and safety-focused professional to join our team as a Commercial Driver's License Instructor. This hands-on role helps prepare the next generation of commercial drivers through practical, real-world training that builds confidence, skill, and professionalism behind the wheel. CDL Instructors provide behind-the-wheel, range, backing, and proficiency instruction for students pursuing their Commercial Driver's License. Instructors coach students through pre-trip inspections, vehicle maneuvering, road driving, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Entry Level Driver Training requirements while evaluating student progress and providing meaningful feedback throughout the program. This role also supports curriculum updates, maintains accurate student records and training documentation, and helps ensure vehicles and equipment are operated safely and maintained appropriately. We are looking for someone with strong commercial driving knowledge, patience, professionalism, and a passion for teaching others. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly, adapt instruction to different learning styles, and remain calm and supportive in high-pressure situations.
