Overview In coordination with and under the supervision of the AD, Workplace Excellence and Administration, the Training and Development Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering staff training and development programs for Facilities staff. The role will assess training needs to design, develop, and deliver training and development programs and tools across Facilities Operations. This is a highly visible position that will partner with Yale University’s HR department, Facilities managers, and subject matter experts to deliver training and learning programs across various job levels and groups within the department. This position will have a dotted-line reporting relationship with the Director of Facilities Operations and is expected to be predominantly on-site. Required Skills and Abilities 1. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships and provide excellent customer service. Preferred Skills and Abilities 1. Training program design and implementation experience Principal Responsibilities 1. Design, develop, and deliver training programs and tools utilizing internal, university-wide, and external resources. This includes structured courses and training series, on-the-job need-based training, training manuals, and multimedia visual aids. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
