Job DescriptionSummary This position will provide security services for Chugach buildings, laydown yards, substations, and power plants, in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and laws. Additionally, this position will support the implementation of Chugach’s DDD+R strategy (deter, detect, delay and respond) and contribute to the development, maintenance, and enforcement of security policies, standards, and compliance procedures. This position will also assist with overseeing contracted security, responding to campus alarms, managing access control changes, and coordinating with local law enforcement to keep Chugach assets secure. Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have any supervisory responsibility. May participate in oversight for contract security officers under the direction of the Manager of Security Services. Work Environment Work is performed in a standard office environment. Travel to facilities and plant sites within the state is required. Some overnight stays at remote plant locations may be required. Ability to fly on chartered and scheduled aircraft. May be exposed to extreme noise and heat. Attendance at meetings or conferences outside of the state may be required. This position has on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis. Minimum Qualifications and ExperienceEducation Bachelor’s degree in business administration, security, logistics or related discipline, required. Experience Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in security, law enforcement or related field, required. Substitution Additional education in security, incident command or related discipline may be substituted for the experience requirement, on a year for year basis. Additional professional experience (above the 3-year minimum) in a similarly complex role or related field may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis. |
