| Requisition: 202600171S Occupational Category (Staff Positions Only): Technical/Para-Professional Hiring Salary: Monthly-Staff Department: Registrar General Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Two years of relevant specialist experience or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered. Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties: Supports the day-to-day operations related to curriculum, scheduling, and special population initiatives within the Registrar's Office. Performs advanced specialist work providing operational support and coordination for processes related to class scheduling, course maintenance, and student records for special populations including, but not limited to, Prison Education Program and Block Scheduling. Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only): Assists with all aspects of the enrollment process for special populations in collaboration with the Curriculum and Scheduling team and the Enrollment Processing team. Maintains and assists with updates to student records in adherence with state and federal regulations. Prepares, reviews, revises, and distributes relevant documents, manuals, and correspondence surrounding curriculum, scheduling, and other special population initiatives (e.g., Prison Education Program (PEP), block scheduling for learning communities) on behalf of the Registrar's Office. Accountable for the execution and follow through of complex and technical responsibilities. Supports the operational objectives for class scheduling, state and educational processes, including TSI, and curriculum development through course build and other functional needs associated with special populations. Assists with the creation and maintenance of academic courses in the university's system, ensuring accurate catalog and course information. Attends regular meetings related to curriculum, scheduling, and special population initiatives and provides summaries of action items, timelines, and potential challenges on a regular schedule. Works collaboratively with all Registrar teams to ensure the appropriate creation and maintenance of scheduling and curriculum processes and procedures that support special populations. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders. Assists in identifying and recommending process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency. Serves as a liaison between the Registrar's Office and campus partners regarding curriculum, scheduling, and special population initiatives (e.g., PEP, learning community scheduling). Assists in coordinating training and development of documentation related to assigned areas. Reviews documentation for accuracy and completeness related to assigned functional responsibilities. Understands the department's role in accomplishing the University's mission and complies with all State and University policies. Participates in meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities as appropriate. Performs other related duties as assigned.
