Available Title(s): 1457-YN_ADMINPRO - Research Intern Business Title: Research Intern - Shen Lab Employee Type: Admin. Professional (+) (Fixed Term) Position Details: Join a dynamic and collaborative research team, in the School of Molecular Biosciences, investigating how the microbiome, host genetics, and the immune system shape atopic diseases and related biological questions. As our Research Intern focused on computational biology, bioinformatics, and data analysis, you will serve as a key bioinformatician in the lab, supporting high-impact research through reproducible data analysis, pipeline development, data and code organization, and collaborative project management. This position will help maintain secure and well-documented research data systems, assist with analysis of sequencing and multi-omics datasets, support manuscript and grant-related outputs, and mentor and onboard new lab members in computational workflows and best practices. Additional Information: This is a full time (100% FTE), temporary position. This position is overtime eligible. Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on June 30,2027. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment. Monthly Salary: $3,379.14 - $4,862.67 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
