| JOB SUMMARY The Hanover Park Park District is seeking a highly skilled finance professional to serve as its Superintendent of Finance, the District’s senior financial leader responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial operations. This role provides both strategic leadership and hands-on oversight of the District’s financial functions, including accounting, payroll, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. The Superintendent of Finance ensures adherence to GAAP, GASB, Illinois Park District Code, and all applicable regulations while maintaining strong internal controls and audit readiness. In addition to managing daily financial operations, this position plays a key role in long-range financial planning, process improvement, and organizational accountability. The Superintendent serves as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director and Administrative Team, providing financial analysis and guidance to support informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a hands-on environment while leading and developing staff, strengthening financial systems, and building structure, consistency, and compliance across the organization.
