Professional (+) (Fixed Term) Position Details: The Opportunity: Join a dynamic and collaborative research team where you will explore how the microbiome, host genetics, and immune system shape atopic diseases and related biological questions. As a Scientific Assistant specializing in computational biology, bioinformatics, and data analysis, you will play a central role as the lab's bioinformatics expert, driving high-impact research through reproducible analyses, pipeline development, and organized data and code management. In this role, you will help maintain secure, well-documented research data systems, analyze sequencing and multi-omics datasets, and contribute to manuscripts and grant outputs. You will also support and mentor lab members by onboarding them to computational workflows and promoting best practices. Additional Information: This is a full-time (100% FTE), temporary position. This position is overtime eligible. Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on June 30, 2027. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment. Monthly Salary: $3,750.85 - $5,397.56 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
