The Training and Development Specialist plays a critical role in advancing workforce capability within the Enterprise Physical Operations Department at WashU. This position designs, delivers, and evaluates high-impact training programs with a strong emphasis on technical skill development, data-driven learning outcomes, and continuous improvement. This role supports a diverse workforce by creating scalable, accessible, and differentiated learning experiences that enhance individual and team performance. The Specialist integrates instructional design best practices with modern tools and platforms (e.g., Workday Learning, Microsoft 365, and virtual collaboration tools) to ensure training effectiveness, accessibility, and alignment with operational goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about mentoring others, demonstrates strong interpersonal communication skills, and can adapt training strategies to meet varied learning styles and departmental needs.
