Overview Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.
Barnes Jewish West County Hospital Pharmacy is responsible for the Medication Management of patients by procuring, storing, and distributing medications throughout the hospital. The pharmacy is also involved with many patient safety and quality processes to optimize medication administration. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Ensures the prompt and accurate preparation and dispensing of medications according to prescription orders from practitioners authorized by law to prescribe. Instructs, coordinates and monitors the work activities of staff to meet patient and customer needs in accordance with the rules and regulations for pharmacy operations.
