 AAJ is seeking a  Sections &#38; Litigation Group Manager  for its Sections &#38; Litigation department. The Sections &#38; Litigation Group Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the department and works closely with members from 20 AAJ Sections and 100 Litigation Groups. The manager ensures that AAJ members have access to resources, oversees group operations, and promotes engagement through AAJ communities, virtual meetings, and AAJ conventions. 
 &#xa0; 
 Essential duties include: 
 &#xa0; 
 Operations 
 
 Manage and support assigned Sections and Litigation Groups, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and enhancing the AAJ member experience. 
 Ensure Section and Litigation Group members have access to resources and benefits to maximize their involvement with AAJ. 
 Oversee Section and Litigation Group communities and list servers, ensuring timely responses and engagement from leadership. 
 Work directly with Litigation Group Officers and the Litigation Group Leaders Council (LGLC) to schedule regular committee meetings and formulate committee agenda that provide updates to leadership, establish annual plans and initiatives, and set group membership goals. 
 Manage LGLC meetings and maintain committee minutes. 
 Work with assigned Section and Litigation Group leaders and AAJ Membership to support member recruitment, retention, and engagement initiatives. 
 Manage the formation and establishment of new Litigation Groups. 
 Serve as the primary liaison between Litigation Groups and internal departments to support operational, programmatic, and promotional needs. 
 
 &#xa0; 
 Meetings, Events, and Conventions 
 
 Plan and coordinate Litigation Group meetings during AAJ conventions. 
 Collaborate with group leaders to develop meeting agendas, identify priorities, and secure speakers for in-person and virtual programming. 
 Schedule convention networking events in partnership with AAJ Sections and related AAJ departments. 
 Develop virtual Lunch and Learn events and roundtable meetings to benefit Litigation Groups and engage members between AAJ Conventions. 
 
 &#xa0; 
 Communications and Marketing 
 
 Work with AAJ Marketing to create marketing content related to Sections and Litigation Groups. 
 Develop and execute campaigns to promote Section and Litigation Group activities, including conventions and virtual events, with the goal of increasing participation and registration. 
 Collaborate with related AAJ departments and group leaders to maintain accurate and engaging web content for each group. 
 
 &#xa0; 
 Administrative Management 
 
 Oversee financial operations for Litigation Groups, including dues collection, administrative fee collection, and fund distributions. 
 Provide regular updates to relevant Litigation Group Chairs and Treasurers on group financials. 
 
 &#xa0; 
 Additional Duties 
 
 Perform other duties as assigned.

 &#xa0; Qualifications: 
 
 Bachelor&#8217;s degree. 
 Three-five years&#8217; experience in an office, non-profit, or association setting; experience working in the legal field or with legal professionals is a plus. 
 Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills. 
 Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently or in a team environment. 
 Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail. 
 Experience with CRM or AMS systems preferred (e.g., NetForum). 
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
 Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service to members and stakeholders. 
 Interest in social justice, politics, and consumer protection is a plus.

 Salary Range: $66,000 - $76,000

 AAJ is seeking a  Meetings and Business Development Coordinator  for its Meetings and Convention department. The Meetings and Business Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the meetings and business development teams, while working with colleagues to service the meetings portfolio and business development activities and operations. 
 &#xa0; 
 Essential duties include:  
 
 Assist with planning and execution of department events and meetings to include coordination with attendees, sponsors, and exhibitors. 
 Responsible for inventory, ordering and packing and shipment of event-related supplies for meetings and events. 
 Input and update event content, creating and editing event surveys, reviewing event promotional material. 
 Track and update event calendars, timelines, task lists and deliverables. 
 Serves as primary contact for routine constituent questions via meetings mailbox, responds to email and telephone inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Directs non-routine and non-event related requests to managers, directors or other departments, as appropriate. 
 Submits cover sheets and vendor invoices and refunds to accounting and into the accounting information system. 
 Set up, maintain, track and record RFP responses for meetings and events and generate accurate reports regarding status of events. 
 Assist with signage ordering and proofing for the conventions. 
 Coordinate sponsorship confirmations, fulfillment and tracking, including implementation of sponsor benefits, as well as support of financial tracking and reconciliation. 
 Update MTiley management system for email templates and sponsorship assets for upcoming conventions and events; coordinate and send sponsorship invoices and/or renewals, updates, and reminders. 
 Provide onsite operational support at the Winter and Annual conventions. This includes unpacking shipments, organizing and distributing signage as needed, updating BD onsite checklists, assisting at the registration desk, and executing additional duties as assigned. 
 
 Bachelor&#8217;s degree in hospitality, events management, business or related field. 
 2-3 years of professional experience in meetings or event management, preferably in a not-for-profit environment or with a member association. 
 Strong written and oral communication, time management, project management and interpersonal skills. 
 Highly detailed and result-focused with excellent organizational skills. 
 The ability to establish positive working relationships with staff and clients. 
 Ability to perform basic accounting functions, processing invoices and coding. 
 The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, good time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks. 
 Working knowledge of industry terminology, sponsorship fulfillment, and tradeshow management processes. 
 Demonstrated customer service ethic. 
 Ability to interact productively with member plans, AAJ staff and work in a highly collaborative environment. 
 Advanced skills in MS Office applications Strong MS Office skills, particularly with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

 AAJ is seeking two  Policy Counsel  for its Public Affairs department. The Policy Counsel provides legal, legislative, and policy research in support of AAJ&#8217;s federal and state advocacy programs. Conducts analysis of assigned issues affecting individuals&#8217; access to justice at the state and federal level. 
 Essential duties include:  
 
 Track, analyze, and assess federal and state legislation in assigned issue areas, as well as certain federal regulations. 
 Draft legislative text and advocacy materials such as one-pagers, fact sheets, talking points, and regulatory comments for assigned issues. 
 Engage with AAJ members on policy and regulatory priorities, including conducting research to evaluate civil justice implications of proposed legislation and regulations for AAJ members. 
 Advise and assist Communications staff on relevant issues. 
 Support efforts to provide information to Members of Congress and congressional staff, by preparing written materials and participating in Capitol Hill meetings and events as assigned. 
 Requirements: 
 
 Law degree with Bar admission. 
 Minimum of three-five years of relevant experience, with Capitol Hill experience preferred. 
 Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, including the ability to produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment and exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. 
 Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. 
 Familiarity with federal and state legislative and regulatory processes. 
 A commitment to civil justice, and a clear understanding of AAJ&#8217;s issues and the ability to advocate for them to others.
