								<description>Boerne, Texas,  Our Energy Services team is looking for an Apprentice Electrician who supports the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of residential and light commercial electrical systems for cooperative members. Responsibilities include assisting with electric panel installations, panel replacements, battery storage systems, and related electrical work under the supervision of licensed electricians. This role provides structured hands-on training and development within the cooperative&#8217;s electrical programs while ensuring safe, high-quality service to members and commercial accounts. Essential Job Duties Electrical Services 
 
 Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems 
 Support the installation and replacement of electrical panels, including proper wiring, labeling, and testing on member homes and commercial sites 
 Aid in the installation and commissioning of battery storage systems and associated components 
 Perform equipment mounting, conduit installation, wire/communications pulling, and system setup according to code and project specifications 
 Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment 
 Follow all safety procedures, cooperative standards, and applicable local/state electrical codes 
 Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and any issues encountered 
 
 
 Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental needs 
 
 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
 
 Basic understanding of electrical systems, electrical theory, tools, and safety procedures 
 Basic understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) related to residential and commercial installations 
 Ability to work safely and follow established safety protocols and guidelines 
 Ability to learn residential and commercial battery storage technologies and obtain required certifications 
 Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams (preferred) 
 Ability to use basic diagnostic and electrical testing tools such as multimeters and clamp meters 
 Ability to work in varied environments including attics, rooftops, confined spaces, outdoor conditions, and commercial spaces 
 Ability to apply electrical codes and interpret commercial electrical blueprints (developing skill). 
 Ability to assist in training staff, contractors, or members (as skills progress) 
 Strong work ethic 
 Attention to detail 
 
 
 Problem?solving and analytical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues in wiring, switches, motors, and electrical equipment under supervision 
 Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team 
 
 Qualifications and Requirements 
 Education: 
 
 High School Diploma or Equivalent 
 Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program (preferred). 
 
 Required Experience: 
 
 1 to 4 Years of experience required 
 Experience in designing and installing electrical systems 
 
 Preferred Experience: 
 
 Hands?on experience with battery storage systems and related components 
 Experience supporting electrical service work, troubleshooting, or performing installation tasks in residential or commercial settings 
 Familiarity with solar PV systems and integration with backup power systems 
 Exposure to electrical panel upgrades, replacements, or service changes 
 Experience installing lighting fixtures, generators, circuit breakers, or transformers 
 
 Additional Requirements:  
 
 CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained within one year of date of hire 
 Valid Texas Driver&#8217;s License and Related Insurance 
 
 
 Must pass background and drug screening and physical</description>

 Essential Job Duties 
 
 Provide information about BEC&#8217;s services and programs 
 Handle basic member inquiries via phone, email or in-person 
 
 Handle general inquiries, including billing 
 Process return mail 
 Process new and existing service/fiber applications 
 Process service orders 
 Process cash or electronic payments either received by mail, in-person, or digitally 
 Open, balance and close cash drawer daily with accuracy and in a timely manner 
 Document all inquiries and maintain accurate membership records 
 Maintain member&#8217;s personal and contact information on accounts 
 Ensure all legal documentation is uploaded to member accounts 
 Provide support for outages or other emergency situations as required&#xa0; 
 
 
 Escalate complex issues to Member Relations Representative II or Supervisors as needed 
 
 &#xa0; 
 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA&#8217;s) 
 
 Excellent customer service skills 
 Excellent communication and organizational skills 
 Strong problem-solving skills 
 Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs 
 Bilingual in Spanish preferred
