 Position Summary/ Department Summary: Join our Employee Relations team as an Employee Relations Manager, where you will oversee our team of Employee Relations Advisors as well as serve as trusted partner to our healthcare leaders and employees across our clinical and non-clinical workforce dealing with complex Employee Relations cases. Your role will focus on maintaining consistent standards in case documentation, analyzing data trends, and ensuring policy compliance across all processes. This role is hybrid Monday-Friday and will require 1-2 days onsite (please note that in the first 90 days of training there may be more required days onsite).
 Key Responsibilities: 1. Operational Management &#38; Deputy Coverage &#8226; Manage the day-to-day operations of the Employee Relations function, ensuring timely, consistent, and high-quality case management across all ER matters. &#8226; Serve as a functional deputy to the Senior Director, assuming authority for ER decision-making, prioritization, presentations and escalation management when needed. &#8226; Maintain operational standards, service levels, and accountability mechanisms for ER Advisors. 2. Provide executive-ready insights, recommendations, and risk assessments to senior leaders. Case Management &#38; Advisory Leadership &#8226; Act as a senior subject matter expert on complex, high-risk, and sensitive employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, terminations, and policy interpretation. &#8226; Guide ER Advisors in applying sound judgment, mitigating risk, and navigating nuanced employee situations. &#8226; Ensure high-quality documentation standards, investigative rigor, and compliance with employment law and internal policies. &#8226; Advise HR partners and leaders on ER strategy, approach, and decision-making. 3. Workflow Design, Technology &#38; Automation &#8226; Design, optimize, and continuously improve ER workflows to increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability. &#8226; Partner with HR Operations, HRIS, and Technology teams to implement and enhance case management systems, reporting tools, and workflow automation. &#8226; Leverage technology and AI-enabled tools (e.g., case triage, trend analysis, documentation support, knowledge management) to improve cycle time, quality, and insight generation. Identify opportunities to standardize processes, reduce manual work and improve the employee and leader experience 
 Additional responsibilities: Metrics, Insights &#38; Risk Management. Policy, training &#38; Program development. Cross-functional Partnership &#38; Compliance and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism and ethical practice. 
 
 
 The posted pay range is Boston Children&#8217;s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. 
 Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors. 								<description>Boston, Massachusetts,  The Senior Vice President, Physicians&#8217; Organization (PO) Operations reports to the President/CEO of the PO and is accountable for the operational integrity, financial performance, and strategic direction of the Boston Children&#8217;s Hospital (BCH) Physician Organization. The PO is a nonprofit management services organization supporting approximately 1,200 faculty physicians across fifteen subspecialty Foundations and three BCH Service Funds. In collaboration with BCH and the Foundations, the PO supports an integrated pediatric healthcare system that advances high-quality, cost-effective patient care while enabling BCH&#8217;s academic, research, and community missions. The PO provides and oversees essential services including revenue cycle operations and billing; accounting, cash management, audit, and tax compliance; payer contracting and reimbursement support; HR advisory services; patient access and ambulatory operations; utilization review and compliance oversight; and IT systems supporting billing, accounting, HR, analytics, cost modeling, and charge capture. The PO also partners with BCH on enterprise initiatives related to compliance, patient experience, ambulatory access, and system-wide revenue cycle performance. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership and Strategy 
 
 Lead PO operations with a focus on performance, scalability, accountability, and sustainability 
 Direct strategic planning in partnership with BCH, PO, and Foundation leadership 
 Align enterprise priorities, resources, and operating models 
 Design and maintain an effective organizational structure 
 Communicate clearly with BCH and Foundation stakeholders 
 
 Financial and Business Performance 
 
 Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance 
 Partner on revenue cycle strategy, payer contracting, and reimbursement optimization 
 Develop financial models and business cases for clinical growth and new programs 
 Steward PO reserves, joint investment funds, and operational assets 
 
 Foundation and Network Operations 
 
 Standardize centralized business services across Foundations 
 Accommodate clinical and academic variation where required 
 Deliver timely, accurate accounting and reporting 
 Support governance and performance oversight of affiliates and partnerships 
 
 Quality, Access, and Infrastructure
