The Department of Nursing is currently housed in the School of Health Sciences, Human Services and Nursing (HS2N). The School of Health Sciences, Human Services and Nursing currently includes six departments: Exercise Science and Recreation (EXR), Health Equity, Administration and Technology (HEAT), Health Promotion and Nutrition Sciences (HPNS); Social Work; Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, and Nursing. The school is also home to the CUNY Institute for Health Equity. Departments in the School actively engage with community and government partners to support evidence-based practices and health equity, with a special emphasis on urban populations. The faculty are also strongly committed to high quality teaching and preparation of ethical and skilled health and human service professionals.    The Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time Nursing Technical Simulation Operations Coordinator beginning in Summer/Fall 2026. This position provides comprehensive technical, simulation, audiovisual, and instructional technology support for the Department of Nursing?s simulation center, skills laboratories, computer laboratories, and HyFlex instructional environments. The position supports faculty, staff, and students in the effective use of healthcare simulation technologies, instructional technologies, networked systems, and audiovisual equipment to enhance teaching, learning, and clinical training.    The position works closely with nursing and health sciences faculty to support simulation-based education, laboratory instruction, distance learning, and classroom technology. This position also assists with the planning, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of simulation equipment, laboratory technology, networked systems, and multimedia systems used in instructional environments.    This is a full-time 35 hour per week on-campus, in person, non-remote position to accommodate the needs of nursing faculty and students in the simulation/laboratory center. This requires a presence in the evenings and some weekends.    QUALIFICATIONS    Bachelor?s degree in a relevant field such as healthcare, nursing, allied health, biology, instructional technology, information technology, simulation technology, or a related field.    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:    Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare simulation equipment, audiovisual systems, and instructional technology.    Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware, software, and multimedia systems.    Ability to troubleshoot technical, simulation, and audiovisual equipment. SOE is one of the six schools within Lehman College. SOE is organized in three departments: Early Childhood and Childhood Education (ECCE); Counseling, Leadership, Literacy, and Special Education (CLLSE); and Middle and High School Education (MHSE). SOE offers initial preparation advanced preparation programs in Literacy Studies, Mental Health and Educational Leadership, including a doctorate in Organizational Leadership. RESPONSIBILITIES    The Associate Dean will represent the SOE when the Dean is away and will support the Dean    in managing all academic, accreditation and curricular affairs in collaboration with department chairs and programs coordinators.
