 Under the direction of the Project and Program Supervisor, the analyst will advise and assist high-level decision-makers such as Commissioners, Judges, and Energy Division management. The analyst may act as a team leader and project coordinator on cost of service and financing projects, which may include, among other things, working on avoiding duplicative cost recovery for wildfire mitigation expenses and issuing financing orders in order to ensure that wildfire-related costs do not place undue burdens on ratepayers. The analyst will make recommendations based on independent analysis of regulatory, policy and technical issues. The analyst will develop analysis for and make recommendations regarding the CPUC&#8217;s policy-setting rulemakings via a wide range of work products, review and provide feedback on proposed legislative bills, and/or oversee implementation of programs that result from these CPUC and legislative processes.

 The analyst will perform other work as necessary, such as writing and presenting reports, coordinating with other California organizations and agencies (e.g., the California Energy Commission, the California Air Resources Board, California Independent System Operator), and responding to outside inquiries. IRP is the CPUC&#39;s long-term electricity resource planning process for its jurisdictional load serving entities (LSEs). It also has a significant function for initiating procurement.

 The Program and Project Supervisor for the IRP Planning, Modeling, and Need Determination section will oversee staff who:
 
 Provide advisory support to Commission decision-makers on the IRP proceeding and related implementation efforts. 
 Manage analyses, including tracking and modeling resources development for California&#39;s electric system. 
 Continue to develop and refine the IRP planning processes. 
 Generally support electric resource planning activities for the state of California.

 This Program and Project Supervisor position will work on the CPUC&#39;s Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) process. IRP is the CPUC&#39;s long-term electricity resource planning process for its jurisdictional load serving entities (LSEs). It also has a significant function for initiating procurement. 
 &#xa0; 
 The Program and Project Supervisor for the IRP Planning, Modeling, and Need Determination section will oversee staff who:
 
 Provide advisory support to Commission decision-makers on the IRP proceeding and related implementation efforts. 
 Manage analyses, including tracking and modeling resources development for California&#39;s electric system. 
 Continue to develop and refine the IRP planning processes. 
 Generally support electric resource planning activities for the state of California.
