 Support classroom routines, transitions, and behavior expectations in alignment with Lower School policies. 
 Assist with preparing instructional materials, centers, and hands-on activities. 
 Supervise students during group activities, lunch, recess, transitions, and other duties as assigned. 
 
 
 
 Collaboration and Communication 
 
 
 
 
 Work collaboratively with the Head Teacher to plan lessons, reflect on student progress, and adjust instruction. 
 Communicate observations about student learning, behavior, and engagement to the Head Teacher.

 Homeroom Responsibilities 
 
 
 
 Support daily homeroom meetings.

 Utilize educational technology to enhance instruction, engagement, and accessibility. 
 Design and administer assessments to measure student progress and inform instructional&#xa0; decisions.&#xa0; 
 Support the development of students&#8217; executive functioning skills.&#xa0; 
 
 
   Classroom Management and Student Support&#xa0; 
 
 
 Maintain an organized, consistent classroom management system.&#xa0; 
 Supervise students during group activities, lunch, recess, transition, and other duties as&#xa0; assigned, facilitating social skills and problem-solving when appropriate.&#xa0; 
 Participate and supervise community building activities.&#xa0; 
 
 
   Collaboration and Coaching&#xa0; 
 
 
 Engage in collaborative planning with all members of the instructional team, emphasizing&#xa0; the individual needs of learners, to plan and implement curriculum, units of study,&#xa0; projects and activities. 
 Provide ongoing instructional support to math teachers.&#xa0; 
 Seek improved methods of best practice with regard to math instruction for students with&#xa0; language-based learning disabilities through professional development opportunities. 
 Support teachers by providing professional development related to all areas of math&#xa0; instruction.&#xa0; 
 
 
   Communication&#xa0; 
 
 
 Communicate regularly and professionally with colleagues to ensure alignment across&#xa0; content areas and student support services.&#xa0; 
 Initiate and maintain ongoing communication with families regarding student progress,&#xa0; concerns, and successes.&#xa0; 
 Maintain accurate student records, including assessments, conference notes, and&#xa0; attendance.&#xa0; 
 Attend relevant staff meetings and school events as required.&#xa0;

 Qualifications &#xa0; 
 
  BA/BS Degree in Math Education, Elementary Education, Special Education; MA/MS preferred 
 NYS Teacher Certification in relevant content preferred&#xa0; 
  A minimum of five years of relevant experience&#xa0; 
  Familiarity with Singapore Approach and multi-sensory instruction&#xa0; 
  Experience providing math intervention to students&#xa0; 
  Proven ability to establish a positive learning environment with effective classroom management&#xa0; and behavior-support practices.&#xa0; 
  Experience in peer mentoring or team leadership, with the ability to support colleagues, share&#xa0; ideas, and offer constructive feedback&#xa0; 
  Familiarity interpreting and utilizing assessment data to inform decisions&#xa0; 
  Knowledge of, or willingness to continue higher levels of education to obtain knowledge of&#xa0; effective service strategies and methodologies for working with children with language-based&#xa0; learning disabilities&#xa0; 
  High degree of technology proficiency, including comfort with educational platforms and student&#xa0; information systems&#xa0; 
  Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.&#xa0;

Reporting to the Upper School Division Director, the Co-Teacher (Co-Head Teacher) is responsible for providing developmentally responsive, content-appropriate programming to students with language-based learning disabilities. This role is grounded in a collaborative co-teaching model and requires close partnership with the other Co-Teacher, Grade Lead and/or Department Coordinator, related service providers, and specialists to support student learning.&#xa0;
