The Dean is responsible for strategic leadership and performance for departments and initiatives that support student access, recruitment, onboarding, and transition to postsecondary education. This includes Admissions, the Transfer Center, Testing Center operations, and the federally funded TRIO Educational Talent Search program. The Dean will lead efforts to expand access, improve credit and non-credit enrollment and transfer outcomes, and foster collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders and external partners and institutions. This position plays a critical role in advancing the college&#39;s mission to provide accessible, high-quality education and support services that promote economic mobility, increased credit and non&#xad; credit yield and student success from entry through graduation and transfer. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs, the Dean will champion student-centered practices, technology&#xad; forward operations, and data-informed decision-making to increase non-credit and credit recruitment, enrollment, retention, completion, and transfer opportunities, particularly for historically underserved populations. Transfer Center Operations Lead the development and execution of transfer initiatives, including the Joint Admissions Agreement (JAA) with Rhode Island College and the University of Rhode Island. Oversee the Transfer Center and supervise staff, ensuring students receive high-quality advising, application and scholarship information, and support in achieving transfer goals. Lead expanded recruitment of students eligible for Reverse Transfer and collaborate with Records to increase the number of students who complete Reverse Transfer and achieve degree completion. Deliver growth in the number of students successfully transferring to four-year institutions and an increased number of students enrolled in and completing the Joint Admissions Agreement program. Collaborate with Academic Affairs and Records to develop and maintain course-to-course articulation agreements, Implement innovative transfer advising strategies and facilitate coordination of transfer-related events and communications, including planning and hosting transfer-related events such as fairs, workshops, and JAA Days.
