The General Manager serves as the senior operational leader for the Rose Bowl Operating Company and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This executive is responsible for the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the Rose Bowl campus enterprise, including Rose Bowl Stadium, Brookside Golf Course, licensed events, operational partnerships, and campus infrastructure. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors, and City of Pasadena, the General Manager will oversee stadium and venue operations, major event execution, capital improvement initiatives, business operations, and stakeholder engagement while advancing the organization&#39;s long-term strategic objectives. The General Manager will lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with tenants, promoters, government agencies, business partners, and community stakeholders to support operational excellence, enhance the guest experience, and ensure the continued success of one of the nation&#39;s most recognizable sports and entertainment venues. Qualifications and Preferred Experience 
 
 Bachelor&#39;s degree in Business Administration, Management, Sports Management, Public Administration, Finance, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
 Eight (8) years of progressively responsible leadership experience, including substantial executive or senior management responsibility in sports, entertainment, venue management, hospitality, public assembly facilities, municipal enterprises, or related industries. 
 Demonstrated experience overseeing complex operations, personnel, budgets, major events, and capital projects. 
 Experience managing large-scale public events, multi-department operations, public-private partnerships, and historically significant facilities is preferred. 
 Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational performance in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. 
 Extensive knowledge of venue operations, gameday and guest experience, event logistics, and public assembly facilities. 
 Experience with budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, cost control, and revenue-generating initiatives. 
 Familiarity with capital planning, infrastructure improvements, and long-range facility planning. 
 Knowledge of operational risk management, emergency preparedness, and public safety coordination. 
 Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with governmental agencies, tenants, promoters, business partners, community organizations, and other key stakeholders. 
 Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
 Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and public communication skills. 
 Proven ability to lead with sound judgment, accountability, professionalism, and innovation while managing multiple priorities. 
 Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to support operational and event-related activities, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.

Scope and Responsibilities

The Athletics Director reports directly to the Senior Vice President/Chief Administration Officer and President. This position provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for all intercollegiate athletics programs, ensuring alignment with the University&#8217;s mission, regulatory compliance, fiscal responsibility, and the overall success and well-being of student-athletes.

The Athletics Director is the chief administrator for the Athletics Department and is responsible for setting the vision, strategic priorities, and operational standards for a comprehensive collegiate athletics program. This role requires executive leadership, decision-making authority, and collaboration across institutional and external stakeholders.

Specific Responsibilities 
The Athletics Director is responsible for the comprehensive management and success of the Athletics Department, including strategic planning, compliance, financial oversight, personnel management, and student-athlete development. The position operates with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, making decisions that significantly impact institutional reputation, competitive success, and student outcomes.
