 Epiphany School seeks a seasoned upper elementary classroom teacher to join our upper division teaching team (grades 3 or 4) beginning August 2026. This individual will create, manage, and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities, providing opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential. This includes designing and teaching the grade-level curriculum; assessing, evaluating, and supervising students; managing the classroom supplies and resources; communicating with families; and participating in robust professional learning and development. Upper division teachers strive to cultivate an environment that allows our students to develop leadership skills, actively engage and participate in their own learning, and mentor younger students. &#xa0; 
 The individual who will be successful in this role will demonstrate Epiphany School values, bring upper elementary school experience, delight in teaching children in this stage of development, work to develop student agency, and contribute to strong collaboration within a team. 
 This is a full-time, exempt, academic year position, reporting to the Upper Elementary Assistant Head. 
 What You&#39;ll Do 
 Primary Classroom Teacher Responsibilities 
 
 Establish and manage a safe and healthy classroom environment and culture, based on the school&#8217;s mission and values 
 Plan, teach, and assess academic and social-emotional curricula in collaboration with grade level partner, specialist teachers, and Upper School Assistant Head 
 Align curriculum with national, state and Common Core standards 
 Assess and record student learning and growth through culminating projects and the use of formal and informal assessment tools and progress reports, communicating results to administration and families 
 Organize and lead field trips integrated with curriculum, including collaborating with the outdoor education specialist on overnight or multi-night field trips 
 Collaborate and coordinate with specialist teachers to create grade-level experiences (i.e., school performances, STEM and Outdoor ed experiences) 
 Coordinate the volunteer efforts of the parent body through collaboration with designated room parents 
 Communicate weekly with families using the school&#8217;s newsletter and website when applicable

 Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
 
 Bachelor&#39;s degree in education, curriculum and instruction, or related field required 
 Teaching certificate and endorsement in grade or field required 
 A minimum of 5+ years of elementary or middle school classroom teaching experience preferred 
 Must have excellent classroom management, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills 
 Must have experience in the integration of technology in teaching practice 
 Ability to handle competing priorities and maintain professionalism, attention to detail, and process improvement strategies in a creative and changing environment 
 Excellent oral, written, and presentational skills in the English language; fluency in additional languages a plus 
 Computer savvy in Windows environment, including MSFT Suite programs 
 Proactive in identifying process improvement opportunities

 Compensation &#38; Benefits 
 The salary range for this role is between $71,653 and $134,571 based on years of experience, education, and professional development credits according to our school&#8217;s Faculty Compensation System pay scale.  The Staff Accountant &#38; Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of day-to-day accounting, payroll, benefits, and operational financial processes.  Primary Responsibilities 
 Payroll Administration 
 
 Process payroll inputs accurately and on schedule, including regular and supplemental pay. 
 Assist with timekeeping, payroll adjustments, and maintaining audit trails. 
 Communication with employees regarding discrepancies, questions, or corrections related to payroll. 
 Perform monthly reconciliations for payroll-related accounts. 
 
 Accounts Payable &#38; Accounts Receivable 
 
 Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and collections. 
 
 
 Support the implementation and expanded use of accounts payable automation and credit card management with AI-enhanced software. 
 Ensure accurate posting and reconciliation of operational transactions.

 Administer benefit-related remittances and reconciliations, including:

 Experience with payroll processing, benefits administration, and general accounting reconciliations. 
 Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. 
 Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. 
 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools. 
 
 Preferred: 
 
 Experience in a nonprofit, independent school, or education setting. 
 Familiarity with accounting and payroll systems such as Blackbaud Financial Edge, Bill.com, Ramp, Rippling, Sawyer, or similar platforms. Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and payroll/benefits compliance in Washington State and Seattle.

 As a member of an effective fundraising team, the MGO will lead the process of identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift and planned giving prospects to ensure that fundraising goals are met. 
 The MGO will assist with the development and execution of a solicitation plan with an emphasis on personal face-to-face visits.&#xa0; 
 Working in conjunction with the Director of Development and other members of the Development team, the MGO will identify, visit and evaluate alumnae, current and former parents, friends and grandparent prospects; develop strategies to cultivate and update prospects on key initiatives; solicit prospects for annual giving, and as appropriate for capital and endowment gifts; tailor solicitation proposals; provide prospects with planned giving ideas and illustrations as appropriate.&#xa0; 
 The MGO will develop a tiered system of major gift prospects and facilitate the movement of those prospects through the various stages of giving based on the Moves Management model. In addition, the MGO will meet clearly outlined weekly, monthly, and annual performance expectations based upon industry standard best practices for prospect visits and dollars raised.&#xa0; 
 The MGO will participate in regular capital campaign committee meetings; strategize consistently with the Director of Development, Head of School, Board of Trustees, and fellow staff members as appropriate; prepare written strategies to cultivate relationships that will lead to solicitations and stewardship of major and planned gifts; and ensure timely and appropriate acknowledgement of major and planned gifts.&#xa0; 
 The MGO will file timely prospect reports in Raiser&#8217;s Edge documenting contacts, solicitations, and meetings. Additionally, the MGO will run reports to track progress of each prospect&#8217;s cultivation plan.&#xa0; 
 The MGO will attend key events to interact with donors and prospects as well as keep apprised of timely and relevant school information in order to create solicitation proposals.&#xa0;
