ART 123 &#38;124 - Ceramics 1 &#38; 2 : Ceramics 1 utilizes various methods of hand building in clay and focuses on vessel traditions and ceramic sculpture. Teaches students the mastery of clay materials. Encourages creativity, craftsmanship and development of personal ideas through a variety of problem-solving assignments. Reading material, demonstrations, critiques and lectures with an overview of historical ceramics supplement studio work.&#xa0; Ceramics 2 utilizes the potter&#39;s wheel and hand building skills to create functional and sculptural ceramics. Emphasizes excelled mastery of clay materials including form, proportion, design, craftsmanship and personal expression. Instruction of making glazes, loading and firing kilns. Reading material, demonstrations, critiques and lectures on ceramic history supplement studio work.&#xa0; These&#xa0;positions will require the incumbent(s) to provide in person, on campus instruction. Collaborate with Director and grant project directors on college and grantor policies, procedures, and requirements. Assist the Director with completion and review of required reports. Develop and maintain helpful materials and guides to assist the Director. Assist with the maintaining of records of grant submissions and all required records for funded projects. Assist in the development and review of grant applications before they are submitted, assuring accuracy of format and content. Other duties as assigned.  Job Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS: Education Associate degree required; Bachelor degree preferred. Experience A minimum of one year experience in an administrative capacity is required.&#xa0; Experience supporting grant work for federal, state and foundation funding is preferred.
