 Ranked among the top 100 Critical Access Hospitals by the Chartis Group, Wray Community District Hospital is an independent 15-bed Special District Critical Access Hospital established in 1955. It was established to provide accessible and quality healthcare services to the residents of Wray, Colorado, and the surrounding areas. The hospital offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency care, surgical procedures, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, physical therapy, and rehabilitation. They also have specialty clinics in cardiology, orthopedics, neurology, ENT, urology, and women&#39;s health.  Key Responsibilities: 
 
 Manages and directs the department&#8217;s administrative and financial functions. 
 Prepares and is accountable for departmental operating budgets and the capital budget. 
 Evaluates staff in accordance with performance standards in, biochemistry, microbiology, hematology, serology, and blood bank. 
 Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. 
 Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality. 
 Responsible for administrative direction: interviewing, hiring, orienting, inservices, performance evaluations and termination of employment. 
 Addresses complaints regarding Clinical Laboratory functions and works with supervisors to resolve the complaints. 
 Attends and participates in administrative and other meetings, as appropriate. 
 Maintains established hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and objectives; maintains the department&#8217;s continuous quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control and compliance with requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies. 
 Ensures each laboratory policy and procedure is reviewed, approved, and documented biannually. 
 Ensures that testing systems developed and used for each of the tests provide quality laboratory services for all aspects of test performance, including preanalytic, analytic and postanalytic phases of testing.

 Qualifications: 
 
 Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry. 
 Current Medical Technologist National Certification &#8211; ASCP Certified 
 Master&#39;s degree in public health, hospital administration or business administration preferred. 
 Minimum of three (3) years of laboratory training or experience and one (1) year managerial experience in the clinical laboratory of an acute care hospital (in non-waived testing). 
 Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
 Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

This role is pivotal in overseeing all clinic physicians and mid-level providers, as well as hospitalists and mid-level providers in the ER and inpatient departments. Key Responsibilities: Leadership &#38; Strategic Oversight 
 
 Provide leadership and direction for all physicians and mid-level providers in the clinic, ER, and inpatient hospital settings. 
 Actively participate in strategic decision-making, ensuring patient outcomes and financial sustainability align with Haxtun Health&#8217;s mission. 
 Develop and implement clinical policies and best practices to optimize patient care and workflow efficiency.Serve as the primary liaison between medical staff and executive leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. 
 Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across all medical departments. 
 
 Clinical Oversight &#38; Provider Management 
 
 Provide mentorship as needed to clinic, ER, and hospital-based providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. 
 Provide encouragement to medical team to directly admit patients from the clinic to the hospital or ER when appropriate, supporting seamless and local continuity of care. 
 Establish standardized clinical guidelines, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations including compliance with State Operations Manual Appendix W for Critical Access Hospitals and Swing Beds. 
 Provide oversight to medical team for compliance with the district&#8217;s Medical Staff Bylaws. 
 
   Quality Improvement &#38; Patient Outcomes 
 
 Lead quality initiatives that enhance patient safety, experience, and outcomes. 
 Monitor and analyze clinical performance metrics to drive data-driven decision-making. 
 Ensure evidence-based medical practices are consistently followed by all providers. 
 Collaborate with nursing leadership and department heads to streamline patient care coordination. 
 
 Financial Stewardship &#38; Operational Efficiency 
 
 Work with executive leadership to optimize financial performance while maintaining high standards of care. 
 Drive operational efficiencies in medical workflows and care delivery models. 
 
 Qualifications: 
 
 Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution. 
 Board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Hospital Medicine. 
 Active Colorado medical license or eligibility to obtain one. 
 Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with leadership or administrative experience preferred. 
 Current ATLS, BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire). 
 Proven ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams in a rural healthcare setting. 
 Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 
 
 Work Schedule &#38; Compensation:
