Unit details: IU Methodist&#39;s Behavioral Health Services includes B8, C8, Secured Holding and ECT. Nurses hired into Behavioral Health are cross trained and work in all our areas.  B8 is an 20-bed medical surgical unit. This secured medical floor treats patients who present with primary medical diagnosis and secondary psychiatric diagnosis. This unit provides the opportunity to work on both medical and psychiatric skills. Our primary diagnoses include patients dealing with alcohol withdrawal, Alzheimer/dementia, altered mental status, and other mental health issues.  C8 is a 16-bed locked psychiatric unit that focuses on patients who present with primary psychiatric diagnosis. Diagnoses include a wide range of mental health issues include schizophrenia, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, and psychosis.  Secured Holding is a 5-bed emergency psychiatric unit with patients who present to the emergency department for mental health issues. Patients are assessed and placed in an appropriate level of care.  ECT is one of the only ECT programs in the state. We use electroconvulsive therapy primarily to treat depression and catatonia. We treat 18-24 patients, three days a week. They are a 60 bed unit caring for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses including anomalies requiring surgical intervention such as omphalocele and gastroschisis, neurological disorders, genetic syndromes, and cardiac defects. This role will also be supporting the Progressive Care NICU that opened earlier this year and will be a 12 bed unit located on the 8 th  floor of Simon Family Tower. The majority of the patients that we care for will be transferred from either Simon Family Tower or Riley Maternity Tower NICUs when they no longer require intensive care. These patients may require respiratory support up to CPAP, feeding tubes, or continuous monitoring for variations in vital signs. This is a fully onsite role Monday-Friday day shift. Role Responsibilities This role secures the acquisition and disposal of goods, services and equipment for all of IU Health. Builds relationships with suppliers to ensure deliverables and invoice resolutions are met.  Provides supplier performance feedback for SCM business reviews.  Works under limited guidance on problems using resources and independent judgement to make decisions.  Ensures all efforts are exhausted to obtain quality, service and capital purchases on time and at the best price.  Ensures goods and capital acquisitions have been secured by closely monitoring open orders and communicating to all internal and external parities as needed.
