 Protect and grow assigned accounts through consultative and strategic selling techniques and prospecting for new accounts.&#xa0; The main objective is to obtain new sales for Kalsec&#8217;s product lines, meeting both face to face and virtually with key buying influencers and demonstrating the value of Kalsec solutions through end-use application presentations and demonstrations as well as negotiating to maintain current and new business with ingredient buyers.&#xa0; 
 Essential Job Responsibilities: 
 
 Primary contact for assigned accounts. In essence, the &#8220;face&#8221; of Kalsec with these accounts. 
 
 Drive achievement of budgeted sales volume, revenue, and gross margin growth for prospects and assigned customers by leading collaborative sales efforts with internal and external cross?functional partners. 
 
 Maintain current customers and develop new customers, always striving to increase the quality of communication between Kalsec and assigned customers. 
 Develop account strategies and navigate negotiations with direction and support from management and mentoring from more experienced colleagues. 
 
 Deliver interactive PowerPoint presentations developed by Marketing, including product demonstrations, with customization supported by management as needed. 
 
 Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops as assigned, keeping a technical journal, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks. 
 Continually gather and assess information on pricing, product quality, applications and competitive activity, and to recommend policy changes. 
 Develop annual forecasts for assigned accounts. 
 Maintain clear records of activity with each account including projects and their progression, correspondence, contacts and opportunities in Salesforce.com. 
 Monitor, expedite, develop and assist with support functions for customers i.e. customer service, regulatory, technical and applications information. 
 Represent Kalsec at trade shows, meetings and conventions.&#xa0; 
 Work collaboratively with Marketing and Product Management to develop strategies for potential new or modified products. 
 Fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position in a fashion that is consistent with KALSEC VALUES.&#xa0; 
 
 Maintain full compliance with company Quality Assurance (Q.A.) policies, objectives, and procedures in all aspects of the role. 
 
 Qualifications: 
 Required 
 
 Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Business, Marketing, Food or Nutritional Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience within the food ingredients industry. 
 Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. 
 Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams. 
 
 Working Conditions : 
 
 Regular use of the Microsoft Office Suite. 
 Use of Salesforce (SFDC) and LinkedIn. 
 Less than 50% travel required, primarily in support of assigned accounts.

 Essential Job Responsibilities: 
 
 Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and meat and poultry prospects, acting as the trusted advisor and &#8220;face&#8221; of Kalsec while consistently representing Kalsec&#8217;s values. 
 Drive sales volume and gross margin growth by developing and executing strategic business plans tailored to each customer. Consistently meet or exceed individual and company sales budgets. 
 Collaborate closely with Sales Management and cross?functional colleagues in both U.S. and international markets to align efforts, share insights, and achieve shared business goals. 
 Align assigned geography and account base with national initiatives and campaigns, partnering with internal and external cross?functional teams to deliver results. 
 Maintain and expand customer relationships, while proactively developing new customers and opportunities. Regularly review and analyze contracts, pricing, agreements, revenue, and budget?to?actual performance. 
 Deliver customized, high?impact presentations to key accounts, including defining presentation objectives and coordinating internal resources to support successful outcomes. 
 Maximize account coverage by leveraging direct customer relationships and expanding networks through introductions and referrals. 
 Continuously gather and evaluate market intelligence, including pricing trends, product performance, applications, competitive activity, and economic indicators, and recommend strategies or policy changes as appropriate. 
 Develop annual forecasts for assigned accounts and partner with leadership to establish and achieve sales objectives. 
 Maintain accurate and timely records of customer activity, projects, contacts, and opportunities within com, ensuring visibility and alignment across stakeholders. 
 Build and manage a robust sales pipeline equal to or exceeding assigned revenue targets. Advance opportunities through all stages - from identification and qualification through close - while clearly communicating progress and demand changes internally. 
 Coordinate and support customer needs by partnering with internal teams, including technical services, applications, customer experience, regulatory, quality, accounting, operations, and logistics. 
 Represent Kalsec at tradeshows, customer meetings, and industry conferences, strengthening brand awareness and industry presence. 
 Collaborate with technical, marketing, and product management teams to identify opportunities for new or modified products and support innovation efforts.

 Qualifications: 
 Required 
 
 Bachelor&#8217;s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience selling ingredients to the meat industry. 
 Proven ability to negotiate effectively and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders. 
 Demonstrated success building relationships across all organizational levels, both internally and externally. 
 Home office environment suitable for professional virtual meetings. 
 High proficiency with business software, including Teams, Salesforce, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

 Technical or scientific background. 
 Experience selling food ingredients or related products within the meat and poultry processing industries.

 Research Leadership &#38; Scientific Expertise 
 
 Serve as Principal Investigator by planning, designing, and independently conducting experiments and research initiatives aligned with strategic business objectives. 
 Exercise sound scientific judgment in the evaluation, selection, modification, and development of appropriate research techniques.

 Exposure to cold processing environments (approximately 34&#8211;38&#xb0;F), as required.
