Reporting to the Associate Director of Development, this part-time role manages two critical needs for the Office of Institutional Advancement: scholarship management and volunteer management. The position plays an essential role on a small team, supporting students, donors, volunteers, and corporate partners through accurate scholarship administration and meaningful volunteer engagement.   Key Responsibilities and Duties: Scholarship Management: Manage the Foundation&#39;s scholarship program from application through award and reporting; Run the scholarship process each semester (summer, fall and spring), including applications, reviews, selections, and notifications; Ensure accurate record keeping and that the administration of scholarships follows donor requirements, college policies, and fiscal year budget constraints and timelines; Oversee the scholarship management system (AwardSpring), including setting up applications, award criteria, and reports; Collaborate with the MassBay Fiscal Office, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and department staff to award and reconcile scholarships; Answer questions and provide guidance to students, faculty, staff, and the general public about our scholarship process; Prepare scholarship reports and summaries for donors, Foundation Board members, College staff, and for promotional materials; Identify opportunities to improve scholarship processes and stewardship, as appropriate.   Volunteer Management: Actively grow the volunteer pool through outreach to new and existing corporate and community partners that support employee volunteerism; Recruit, onboard, and support volunteers through training, communication, and ongoing engagement; Work with College staff, including Career Services, Deans, and faculty, to identify meaningful volunteer opportunities; Serve as a resource for faculty and staff seeking to engage volunteers; Develop and maintain volunteer policies, training, and best practices in alignment with the College&#39;s culture and guidelines; Develop the volunteer portal (Bloomerang) and maintain accurate volunteer records; Identify opportunities to improve volunteer program and stewardship, as appropriate. The ideal candidate demonstrates a commitment to inclusive pedagogy, workforce alignment, hands-on clinical training, and student success across traditional, Early College, and apprenticeship pathways. The Health Studies full-time faculty teaches courses and provides skill development didactically, which may include lab and clinical components. Students who enroll in these courses are typically in programs such as Medical Coding, Medical Office Administrative Assistant, Medical Assistant, and Phlebotomy. Some courses are delivered online, while others may be taught in person or in a hybrid format. The person in this role will participate in the college&#39;s Early College/Dual Enrollment initiatives. The candidate must have a healthcare background and expertise suitable for teaching the courses taught in the Health Studies department. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively, assess students objectively, and work collaboratively as a team. The individual has obtained the appropriate certification, where applicable, and has earned an education in a health-related profession and clinical experience. Opportunities may exist for working with other clinical-based programs, depending on the candidate&#39;s additional clinical certifications.
