Position Overview M State is accepting applications for a  Full-time Head Baseball /Speed &#38; Strength  Coach and  Physical Education/Exercise Science/Kinesiology  Faculty  to begin fall semester 2026.  This position is located on the Fergus Falls campus. Responsibilities: Activities related to comprehensive community college teaching and learning, including but not limited to: Instructional planning and delivery. Teaching and facilitating student learning. Curriculum planning and development. Assessment of student performance at course and departmental level, and contribute to student assessment at the college general education level. Classroom management. Maintenance of professional skills and credentials. Participation in department meetings, coordination activities, and college-wide committees. Head coach duties, including recruiting, conducting practices and tryouts,&#xa0;organizing and&#xa0;scheduling road trips, tracking students&#39; athletic eligibility, and other related duties. Teach approximately 5-6 Physical Education/Exercise Science/Kinesiology courses per year on the Fergus Falls campus. Monitor baseball budget, fundraise as appropriate, and maintain spending practices in alignment with NJCAA rules. What We&#39;re Looking For Minimum Qualifications: Master&#39;s degree in physical education, exercise science, or kinesiology or Master&#39;s degree in any field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in physical education, exercise science, or kinesiology. Preferred Qualifications:  Assistant or head coaching experience in baseball at the collegiate level. Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students. Experience teaching at a community or technical college. Demonstrated innovative use of assessment techniques and interactive, student-centered pedagogies.  Demonstrated familiarity with and commitment to the mission and student population of a comprehensive community and technical college.  Experience working with diverse populations and teams.  Experience with budget planning, oversight, and resource allocation in an academic or athletic setting.  Certified to instruct CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS), or ability to obtain certification upon hire. Position Overview M State is accepting applications for a  part-time CDL Instructor .  This position will be located primarily in Detroit Lakes, MN with occasional travel to Wadena, MN and Moorhead, MN. This position provides Commercial Driver&#39;s License (CDL) training through Workforce Development Solutions at M State. The CDL Instructor is responsible for delivering classroom, range, and on-the-road instruction in accordance with federal (FMCSA), state, and program standards. The instructor supports students in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to meet Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements and successfully enter the commercial driving workforce. Responsibilities: Instruction &#38; Training Delivery Deliver classroom instruction in accordance with FMCSA and state standards. Conduct hands-on CDL training in range and on-the-road settings. Prepare and organize instructional materials for CDL training courses. Adapt teaching methods to support diverse learning styles and skill levels. Student Support &#38; Assessment Monitor and assess student progress and skill development. Provide constructive feedback on driving techniques and safety practices. Support students in meeting Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements. Communicate student concerns or issues to program staff. Safety &#38; Compliance Ensure adherence to safety protocols during all training activities. Follow all federal, state, and third-party testing guidelines as required. Stay current with CDL regulations and industry best practices. Program Coordination &#38; Administration Maintain accurate training records and attendance documentation. Submit required reports and documentation in a timely manner. Complete and submit timesheets, meal, and mileage reimbursements. Use M State email for official communications and respond within 48 hours. Operational Responsibilities Operate and maintain training vehicles in coordination with program staff.
