We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to oversee regional donor blood collection operations in the Tallahassee market.  Position Overview 
 The Regional Director, Donor Collections Operations directs all donor blood collection activities across the assigned region and ensures full compliance with blood bank, accreditation, and regulatory standards. This leader provides strategic and operational oversight to managers and supervisors while ensuring donor recruitment and collection goals are consistently achieved. 
 The successful candidate will be based in Tallahassee and will play a key role in maintaining an adequate and safe blood supply through operational excellence, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. 
 Key Responsibilities 
 
 Lead and support a team of managers and supervisors responsible for day-to-day regional collection operations 
 Ensure compliance with all applicable blood banking regulations, accreditation standards, and safety requirements related to the collection, storage, and handling of blood and blood components 
 Partner with internal departments to maintain a safe and sufficient blood supply across the region 
 Analyze operational data and collection activities to identify trends, improve efficiencies, and implement process improvements 
 Manage operating expenses through effective allocation of personnel, equipment, and facility resources 
 Provide strategic input to senior leadership regarding programs and initiatives designed to meet regional blood collection demands 
 Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, teamwork, and donor-centered service 
 Education &#38; Experience 
 
 Bachelor&#8217;s degree from an accredited college or university required 
 Minimum of ten (10) years of management experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience 
 Experience leading multi-site blood banking operations strongly preferred.&#xa0; 
 
 Knowledge, Skills &#38; Abilities

 Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to engage effectively with leadership, staff, donors, and community stakeholders 
 Ability to analyze operational and regulatory information and make sound business decisions 
 Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute independently 
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication technologies 
 Ability to interpret technical procedures, governmental regulations, and operational data 
 Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities 
 Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships across departments and teams 
 Ability to travel up to 50% and commute using personal transportation

 Manages customer accounts to ensure contractual performance, commercial alignment, and long-term relationship stability 
 Manages smaller agreements independently while supporting and progressively leading complex service agreement negotiations, including pricing, term, service levels, and risk allocation 
 Evaluates business opportunities and proposed agreements for financial viability, mission alignment, and operational feasibility, escalating material risks 
 Analyzes contract structures to identify margin drivers, cost exposure, and risk positioning, translating findings into clear, defensible positions during negotiations 
 Assesses financial drivers of agreements, including revenue, cost, margin, and scalability, to determine whether proposed deals are directionally favorable or unfavorable to the organization 
 Builds and maintains effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders; communicates clearly with leadership and manages conflict professionally and constructively. 
 
 
 
 EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 
 Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field required from an accredited college or university; advanced degree preferred; ten (10) or more years of progressive experience in business development, contracting, or commercial leadership within healthcare, blood banking, life sciences, or complex service organizations; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. &#xa0;

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 
 
 Knowledge of contract levers including pricing structures, service levels, term length, and risk allocation 
 Ability to take ownership of deliverables and decisions with minimal direction 
 Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous, or evolving environments 
 Ability to demonstrate sound business judgment and learn quickly through feedback and continuous improvement 
 Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and with external partners, adapting style while maintaining clarity and professionalism 
 Ability to present ideas and positions clearly and confidently, demonstrating emerging executive presence 
 Knowledge of core financial drivers such as revenue, cost, margin, and trade-offs

 Knowledge of end-to-end blood banking operations, including donor recruitment, collection operations, manufacturing, inventory management, and distribution 
 Ability to connect operational realities to business decisions, including impacts of donor supply constraints on contract terms and manufacturing capacity on scalability 
 Knowledge of regulatory and quality frameworks (e.g., FDA, AABB)
