 POSITION SPECIFICS 
 
Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference member, is seeking a dynamic, innovative creative professional to join its elite football program as Director or Associate Director of Football Creative Content. In this graphic design role, the successful candidate will produce high-caliber designs that elevate the program&#39;s brand identity and amplify the profiles of its student-athletes. The position requires developing, maintaining, and advancing a cohesive brand identity through original, forward-thinking design concepts across a wide range of digital and print materials, including: 
 Motion graphics and video content 
 Social media graphics 
 Posters, signage, and large-scale facility graphics 
 Recruiting graphics 
 Website and email graphics 
 Paid media collateral 
 Logos and promotional materials 
The candidate will manage both broad-distribution creative assets and highly personalized, targeted recruiting graphics. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the creative direction of photo shoots involving current players and prospective recruits, with potential opportunities to contribute photography. Experience in video capture or editing is a plus, though not required.

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking an Associate and a Assistant Coach for the Men&#39;s and Women&#39;s Swimming and Diving program. The Assistant Coaches are responsible to the Head Coach for assisting in all aspects of the Men&#39;s and Women&#39;s Swimming program. Responsibilities include: 
 Recruiting, coaching, developing, motivating, and evaluating academically and athletically qualified student athletes all in compliance with NCAA, Big 10, and Penn State University policies and procedures. 
 Ensuring compliance with appropriate administrative processes pertaining to team travel, recruiting travel, budget, student-athlete eligibility and academic progress 
 Alumni relations. 
 Participating in fundraising and community service efforts, as appropriate and assigned 
 Assisting in the coordination with appropriate Communications staff to provide pertinent information to media outlets and in preparing related web-based and written materials. 
 Commitment to comply fully with the mission statements of the University and Department, including Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics vision to prepare students for a lifetime of impact. 
 Requires six years of Division 1 related coaching experience.

 Coordinate the recruitment and retention of prospective student athletes including prospect evaluation, prospect selection, off campus evaluation, on and off campus visits, and contacts (phone calls, letters, e-mail, etc.). 
 Assist with the mentoring of student athletes to foster athletic, academic, emotional, and social growth; assist Head Coach in establishing and enforcing rules of conduct and team policies. 
 Gather, prepare, and present scouting materials. 
 Assist with the organization and planning for home events, practice planning, skill development of student athletes, and game day strategy. 
 Assist with the organization and planning of team travel and the purchasing, inventory, care, and storage of equipment. 
 Assist with the planning, organization, execution, and staffing of sport camps. 
 Coordinate visiting team requests, such as practice, hotel accommodations, meals, etc. 
 Assist with former athlete and alumni relations. 
 Assist with the compilation and maintenance of statistical information. 
 May independently supervise student managers, volunteer coaches, undergraduate coaches and other ancillary personnel. 
 When required, represent Head Coach at intercollegiate athletics, alumni, and University events.

The successful candidate will serve as the sport contact for the nationally-ranked women&#39;s ice hockey and men&#39;s and women&#39;s cross country, track  for GoPSUsports.com, the official website of Penn State Athletics, and team social channels; producing online team record books, news releases and feature stories; responding to media requests; facilitating social media in line with department goals; staffing home and select away events; supervising student assistants as well as statistical crews and other event support personnel; other duties as assigned. 
 
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, Spark, etc.), website content management systems, social media platforms and Statcrew/NCAA Live Stats is preferred. Experience in photography, recording and editing video is desired. Bachelor&#39;s degree in journalism, public relations or a related field plus work-related experience in communications or public relations is required. Excellent communication and organizational skills are also required. Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance is required. Position requires considerable initiative, creativity and independence.
