 Posting Note: &#xa0;The Division of Hematology/Oncology at Phoenix Children&#8217;s, seeks full time, board eligible/board certified pediatric hematologist/oncologists with an interest in any of the following areas; benign hematology, or immune deficiencies and WBC disorders, or Bone Marrow Failure syndromes. Experience in research and programmatic development would be of interest as we seek to develop our programs in these areas. Responsibilities include clinical care, teaching, and participation in clinical research. The candidate will be an integral and interactive member of the Division of Hematology/Oncology/BMT in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders and participate in inpatient and outpatient management of hematology patients. Our Center is the major referral center in the Southwestern region with approximately 1500 new hematology patients per year. We currently have a large hematology patient population with close to 550 congenital bleeding disorder patients followed at our federally funded Hemophilia Treatment Center, over 325 sickle cell/thalassemia patients, and close to 150 new thrombosis patients per year. We currently have multi-disciplinary clinics for hemophilia and other congenital bleeding disorders, immunohematology, neurovascular diseases, sickle cell/thalassemia, and other chronically transfused patients with various diagnoses including bone marrow failure and RBC enzyme deficiencies. The hematology team is a multidisciplinary team, committed to providing state-of-the-art care to the patients of the Southwest. We also have active clinical and laboratory research programs, and multiple open clinical trials. This is a growing population and we are looking for someone who desires to continue to expand and develop this program. Successful candidates must be board eligible/board certified in pediatric hematology-oncology and have an interest in hematology.  Posting Note: &#xa0;Transfusion Medicine Physician The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Phoenix Children&#8217;s is seeking a Transfusion Medicine Physician to join a group of 3-4 physicians in Transfusion Medicine and Apheresis. The Transfusion Medicine physician will join 18 faculty members in the rapidly expanding Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The successful candidate will serve as a clinical attending on our Apheresis, Transfusion, and Coagulation Services. Clinical duties include support of a blood bank that performs a full range of immunohematology testing and dispenses 18,000 blood products per year, a therapeutic apheresis and phlebotomy service with 650 cases/year, and a coagulation service. A mainstay of this apheresis service is our robust preventative red blood cell exchange program serving pediatric and adult hemoglobinopathy patients. We perform collections for bone marrow transplant, CAR-T, and gene therapies, and we also offer extracorporeal photopheresis, plasma exchange, and LDL apheresis&#8212;all supported by our excellent and dedicated apheresis nursing division. There is unique potential for customization of this role commensurate with experience and interest. In addition to core responsibilities, candidates may elect to exercise expertise in informatics, coagulation, or other domains within clinical pathology. The position offers a range of opportunities for medical directorship, program development, teaching, and research. Faculty appointments with the University of Arizona-Phoenix College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic Arizona, and Creighton University School of Medicine are encouraged.  Posting Note: &#xa0;The Division of Hematology/Oncology and BMT at Phoenix Children&#8217;s seeks a full time, board eligible/certified pediatric hematologist/oncologist to join the Leukemia and Lymphoma Section. We are seeking a candidate with specific interest in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with hematologic malignancies, who also has an interest in the design and conduct of early phase clinical trials. Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient clinical care in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) at Phoenix Children&#8217;s, as well as teaching and participation in clinical and translational research. The CCBD sees, on average, 400 new oncology patients per year, of which more than 140 are patients with hematologic malignancies. We have additional active clinical and research programs in solid tumor, neuro-oncology, hematology, BMT/Cell Therapy, palliative medicine, and survivorship. The CCBD is an active member of national and international trial consortia, including COG, POETIC, TACL, the Histiocyte Society, and NACHO, and offers phase I and II industry-sponsored studies, and investigator-initiated trials. Our ACGME-approved pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship program is approved for three fellows/year. A close working relationship and physician liaison exists with our BMT &#38; Cell Therapy program, which provides services for patients requiring life-saving hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies, including CAR-T cell treatment. Faculty can leverage extraordinary clinical and research opportunities in collaboration with our three academic and clinical partners, the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Creighton University, and the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. All subspecialties work collaboratively within the NICUs and the delivery center NICUs offer opportunities to attend high-risk deliveries and perform procedures within their scope of practice. Services include, but not limited to, ECMO, HFOV, iNO, and whole-body cooling.

Phoenix Children&#8217;s has a 12-bed CARF accredited inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, which opened in 2013 and is the only pediatric rehabilitation unit in Arizona. The physicians in the Division of PM&#38;R are employed under Phoenix Children&#8217;s Medical Group and work collaboratively with others in neuroscience under the auspices of the Barrow Neurologic Institute for Children at Phoenix Children&#39;s. This position would share coverage of the inpatient rehabilitation unit, the inpatient PM&#38;R consult service, and both outpatient physiatry as well as multi-disciplinary clinics. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in program development, a broad base of clinical knowledge, and particular interest in botulinum toxin/ phenol injections. There are opportunities to participate in clinical research. Phoenix Children&#8217;s is a full-service freestanding non-profit tertiary pediatric medical center with 533beds. Phoenix Children&#8217;s is the only level 1 pediatric trauma center in Arizona, with approximately 2,588 trauma admissions yearly, with neuroscience and orthopedics programs that are among the largest such pediatric programs in the country.  Posting Note: &#xa0;The Division of Allergy and Immunology at Phoenix Children&#8217;s is seeking an Allergist/Immunologist to join our team of professionals.?This position would be for a physician focused on immunology/inborn errors or immunity. The candidate will join11 other providers (7 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers) at Phoenix Children&#8217;s and its satellites. In addition to the main hospital campus, we also see patients in the East Valley, Southwest Valley, and Northwest Valley. With the sizable population of Phoenix, Arizona, the practice is busy and growing. The patient population is varied, ranging from common allergic disorders to complex cases in both allergy and primary immunodeficiencies. Two physicians currently lead efforts in immunology, both inpatient and outpatient, the latter of which includes participation in the Immunohematology Multi-disciplinary Clinic, 22q Multi-disciplinary Clinic, and more. A third immunology focused physician would aid in meeting the needs of patients in Phoenix and the surrounding areas. Education is an important aspect of the position as the clinic participates in the training of rotating pediatric residents. Also, Phoenix Children&#39;s has partnered with Mayo Clinic Arizona for a combined Allergy/Immunology fellowship. Physicians will have clinics with the fellows as well as regular interaction with the Allergists/Immunologists at Mayo Clinic through Allergy/Immunology Grand Rounds, Case Conference and Journal Club. Physicians have academic faculty appointments through the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix and Creighton University School of Medicine. The Med-Peds Consult Service is based at our main campus and operates within the Division of Hospital Medicine.  The staff physician shall provide patient care services and will support the Phoenix Children&#39;s mission of providing hope, healing and the best health care for children and their families. 
 
 
 Position Duties 
 
 
 
 Patient Care Services 
 1)&#xa0;Provide patient care services for which he/she is clinically privileged, including but not limited to: &#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;a)&#xa0;Provide direct patient care services on an inpatient and outpatient basis &#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;b)&#xa0;Provide subspecialty consultations and follow-up. &#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;c)&#xa0;Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services/procedures &#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;d)&#xa0;Provide these services for urgent/ emergent care as necessary 2)&#xa0;Strive to achieve the best patient and family centered care 3)&#xa0;Support Hospital&#8217;s patient satisfaction goals as well as division&#8217;s specific targets 4)&#xa0;Support and adhere to divisional patient safety and quality of care standards 5)&#xa0;Practices Contemporary Evidence based medicine or latest experience based medicine 
 
 Divisional Responsibilities 
 1)&#xa0;Establish and demonstrate effort to achieve annual physician goals and objectives (e.g. individual, division, hospital) 2)&#xa0;Support the medical education programs and activities of the Division, including but not limited to: &#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;a)&#xa0;Provide direct supervision of trainees and allied health care professionals for the delivery of inpatient and outpatient services when applicable &#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;b)&#xa0;Conduct teaching rounds, lectures and conference for trainees &#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;c)&#xa0;Participate in the teaching and supervision of trainees and allied health care professionals assigned to the division &#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;d)&#xa0;Participate in the postgraduate continuing educational activities of the division 3)&#xa0;Support the research endeavors of the division including the research initiatives by other members of the division 4)&#xa0;Support programmatic growth of division 5)&#xa0;Support satellite efforts of division when appropriate

 1)&#xa0;Physician shall support the Division Chief in his/her role as liaison to the professional community and general public as requested by the Division Chief 2)&#xa0;Physician may conduct teaching rounds or conferences outside of Phoenix Children&#39;s, particularly if these activities support divisional clinical and teaching programs/ initiatives. 3)&#xa0;Physician shall represent Phoenix Children&#39;s in the medical and business communities and before the general public in a professional manner 4)&#xa0;The following physical and mental skills are essential to the physician&#8217;s ability to successfully perform the foregoing duties and responsibilities: &#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;a)&#xa0;The ability to communicate by telephone, computer or other communication devices &#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;b)&#xa0;The ability to perform after hours or night call responsibilities as needed &#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;c)&#xa0;The ability to work regularly scheduled work hours
