Provide leadership to ensure that practices, policies, and protocols are reviewed and revised through an equity and inclusion lens and assess student needs to provide equitable and inclusive service. Develop, coordinate, and promote psychoeducational programs that focus on promoting identity-based equity in student mental health and wellness. Along with the CS Leadership Team, play a central role in building accountability among CS staff around DEI values and practice.     Lead the department in its endeavors to recruit, attract, and retain a diverse staff and trainee classes. Participate in new staff on-boarding processes. Facilitate professional development programming for staff and trainees regarding ongoing cultural responsiveness, attention to context, and centering intersectionality as it pertains to service delivery, training, and internal operations in line with upholding the multicultural, ethical, and professional standards of all disciplines represented within the department. Liaise and collaborate with student organizations, academic departments, and administrative offices, including the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Triandiflou Institute for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Transformative Practice, which attend to and serve historically marginalized and underrepresented students. Engage meaningfully with leadership and university partners to advise, collaborate, and enhance university climate - serving as the expert on the intersections of student well-being and DEI. Provide clinical services, including intake assessments; individual and group counseling/therapy through both in-person and tele-mental health services; crisis intervention; case management; consultation with staff, faculty, families, and students, at a reduced load proportional to other leadership responsibilities. This load is subject to increase by the Director and Associate Director during peak clinical need. Serve in the on-duty rotation, as necessary. Provide clinical supervision and training as needed for trainees from multiple disciplines. Provide consultation to faculty, administrators, families, and community providers about students of concern and campus-wide mental health issues. Participate in multidisciplinary and leadership team meetings. Provide clinical supervision of unlicensed staff and interns, and other staff as needed. As clinical load permits, attend meetings, workshops and training programs that will benefit the university, the Division, the department and/or will promote the professional development of the counselor. Participate in the routine office/administrative operations of Counseling Services including maintaining up to date clinical records; carrying out pertinent correspondence; and developing and maintaining a cooperative working relationship with department colleagues and other university and community groups. Provide other clinical/counseling related services and activities as assigned. Serve on university, division, and department committees as requested. Directs patrons to designated parking areas and/or specific parking spots or locations; directs persons or vehicles not authorized to use the parking facilities to alternate locations; inspects vehicles for current and correct parking permits; assures that cars are parked in the correct area and not in reserved or handicapped spaces; and keeps records of vehicles for which parking privileges have been suspended or revoked and controls access to parking areas accordingly. Responds to patron complaints from people denied access by explaining parking requirements and suggesting alternate parking areas. May lead volunteers, students, and inmates assigned to work crews by making assignments, distributing and accounting for equipment and supplies, demonstrating the proper methods of completing work, and supervising the on-site performance of activities and tasks. May travel to other offices within the State or facility to pick up or move equipment, supplies or persons. Moves heavy supplies, furniture, and equipment.  Loads and unloads heavy equipment, supplies, and furniture from trucks and rail cars by physically lifting items or operating a hand truck, forklift or pallet jack. Moves items to and from storerooms and/or warehouses.  May maintain storage areas. Assists truck drivers and motor vehicle operators in picking up and delivering items.  May drive delivery vehicles. Moves heavy furniture, office equipment, and records. Sets up and removes furniture, partitions, and equipment for office moves, conferences, meetings, and special events. Delivers forms and supplies to various offices. Assists in the receiving and shipping of various office materials.   May perform office-related activities such as filing, alphabetizing, photocopying, sorting and delivering mail, inventorying and storing records or supplies on shelves, bins and/or on the floor.
