This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in animal models of motivation and addiction and will include extensive training in rodent surgery, behavioral models of neuropsychiatric disorders, and neurobiological methods. Essential Duties: The ADR provides leadership in the development and implementation of the schools research strategic plan developed in collaboration with the schools various constituencies Serves as SSW research liaison with university administration Develops the SSWs research infrastructure Develops and promotes policies and procedures that support research Serves as a member of the SSW Administrative Team Chairs the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) Implements faculty professional development opportunities Develops mechanisms to monitor funded research benchmarks and productivity of peer institutions Networks on research matters with other schools to develop interdisciplinary research collaboratives Identifies and advocate for BCSR research infrastructure needs.
