								<description>Sonoma County, California,  Veterinary Oncology Technician (RVT, VTS &#8211; Oncology ) Specialty &#38; Emergency Hospital | Sonoma &#38; Marin Counties 
 Specialty &#38; Emergency Hospital is expanding its Oncology service, and we&#8217;re excited to welcome a&#xa0; Veterinary Oncology Technician  to support this growing specialty. This role will work closely with our Oncology Veterinarian and multidisciplinary clinical teams to deliver thoughtful, high-quality cancer care to patients and compassionate guidance to clients. 
 This position is well suited for a technician who combines strong clinical skills with emotional intelligence, precision, and a passion for specialty medicine. VTS (Oncology) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, as are technicians eager to deepen their oncology expertise. 
 About Our Hospital We are a rapidly growing specialty and emergency hospital serving Sonoma and Marin Counties, built on a foundation of collaboration, respect, and accountability. Our integrated specialty-emergency model allows us to provide advanced patient care while maintaining trusted relationships with referring veterinarians. 
 Our Oncology service is designed with intention &#8212; prioritizing patient safety, individualized care plans, and empathy for clients navigating complex and emotional decisions. We believe excellent medicine is delivered best in environments where teams feel supported and valued. 
 The Oncology Team Oncology technicians at our hospital are true clinical partners. You&#8217;ll collaborate closely with specialty nursing teams, emergency clinicians, client service representatives, and hospital leadership to ensure continuity of care and an exceptional client experience. 
 Your work will be central to: 
 
 Diagnostic and treatment support 
 Chemotherapy preparation and administration 
 Patient monitoring and safety compliance 
 Client education and communication 
 
 Who We&#8217;re Looking For This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy specialty medicine and value structure, communication, and teamwork, including: 
 
 Experienced RVTs with oncology or specialty hospital experience 
 Technicians looking to advance into oncology-focused medicine 
 VTS (Oncology) professionals seeking a supportive, well-organized specialty environment 
 
 Qualifications 
 
 Veterinary technician experience in oncology or specialty practice required 
 RVT licensure preferred (VTS in Oncology highly preferred) 
 Strong IV catheter placement, lab skills, and patient monitoring abilities 
 Excellent verbal and written communication 
 High attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols 
 Emotional maturity and professionalism in sensitive clinical situations 
 
 Interest in continuing education and long-term oncology skill development &#xa0; Compensation 
 
 $70,000 &#8211; $94,000 annually,  commensurate with experience, licensure, and credentials&#xa0;
