Responsibilities: (E) = Essential (E) Serves as a primary point of contact for University Advancement, including alumni events, meetings, committees, and general office inquiries; answers phones, greets visitors, and provides information and assistance to internal and external constituents. (E) Provides administrative support to the Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence and materials, coordinating travel arrangements, and managing office communications. (E) Provides administrative support to Advancement staff, including the Director of Communications, Annual Giving and Donor Relations, and the Associate Director of Alumni Relations and Engagement. (E) Assists with the coordination and logistical support of alumni and university advancement events and meetings, including scheduling, room reservations, vendor coordination, invitations, registrations, requisitions, purchase orders, and on-site event support. (E) Provides administrative support for alumni committees and volunteer groups, including the Alumni Association Advisory Board and the Athletic Hall of Fame Committee. The Health Promoters use their insights and knowledge of cultural norms to provide relevant and updated health information and education to help Latinos work through the barriers they face when addressing complex health issues such as obesity, diabetes, mental health and navigating the healthcare system, and gaining access to affordable fresh and nutritious food. Health Promoters also gather important data from the community (e.g., number of events every month, attendance, people reached).&#xa0; Responsibilities: 1. Provide the community with health education on existing social and health-related services. 2. Promote wellness programs for Latino families. 3. Assist LEI&#39;s after-school program coordinators with health-related workshops. 4. Collaborate with Worcester Public Schools (WPS) and Worcester Department of Public Health (DPH), as needed, during special family events to promote youth and family wellness and educate about the nexus between health and education/the capacity to learn. 5. Gather information on the events and people they serve (data on people reached, number of events, attendance, etc., for LEI reports). 6. Support the alignment of the work with what exists in the community. 7. Meet weekly with the LEI Community Health Education Program Liaison/Coordinator to coordinate staffing, participant needs, weekly schedule, and logistics. 8. Participate in required training, workshops, conferences, or other aspects of professional development, including funder-sponsored events. 9. Other duties as assigned, including attending additional staff meetings, supporting other LEI staff members, and representing the organization upon assignments or as needed.  Job Requirements: Required Qualifications: 1. Ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences, both in writing (for progress reports) and verbally (for public presentations). 2. Strong work ethics and commitment to positive youth and family development. 3. Success in prioritizing and meeting multiple demands and deadlines.&#xa0; 4. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to work collaboratively, manage own work and time, and be accountable for performance. 5. Alignment and agreement with the vision, mission, and values of the Latino Education Institute. 6. In-person position with field activities that may include evenings and weekends. 7. Ability to work some evenings and weekends.&#xa0; Preferred Qualifications: 1. High School Diploma and at least 2 years of experience working on social and/or health-related issues with people from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds or Bachelor&#39;s degree in a health-related career would be a plus, especially for growth opportunities. 2. Certificated as a Community Health Worker is preferred. 3. Bilingual in English and Spanish. 4. Reliable access to transportation.
