 &#xa0;The Systems &#38; Network Engineer&#39;s responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to: Infrastructure and High availability 
 
 Collaborate with the Senior Systems Administrator in managing and maintaining the school&#8217;s network infrastructure, wireless systems, servers, cloud environments, and storage platforms. 
 Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of critical systems and services supporting academic and administrative operations. 
 Oversee system monitoring, maintenance, and operational health processes. 
 Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, connectivity, and systems issues. 
 Maintain accurate technical documentation for infrastructure, systems configurations, and network environments. 
 Participate in infrastructure planning, upgrades, deployments, and technology projects. 
 Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed to support operational continuity and infrastructure improvements. 
 
 Cybersecurity &#38; Data Protection 
 
 Collaborate with the Senior Data &#38; Cybersecurity Engineer in supporting and advancing the school&#8217;s cybersecurity strategy, policies, and operational practices. 
 Administer identity and access management systems, including permissions and multi-factor authentication. 
 Monitor systems and networks for vulnerabilities, suspicious activity, and operational risks. 
 Manage endpoint protection, security patching, and remediation efforts. 
 Contribute to incident response, recovery procedures, and operational resilience initiatives. 
 Promote cybersecurity awareness and responsible technology use across the school community. 
 Evaluate and recommend security improvements, tools, and best practices. 
 
 IT Operations &#38; User Support 
 
 Contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of IT services, infrastructure operations, and user support across the school community. 
 Provide technical support and assist the Senior Systems Administrator in resolving critical systems, network, and infrastructure incidents. 
 Support escalated help desk requests and ensure timely, effective service for staff and students. 
 Assist in maintaining IT procedures, operational documentation, system standards, and disaster recovery plans. 
 Support onboarding, offboarding, and account provisioning processes for employees and students. 
 Collaborate with technology team members, school leadership, faculty, staff, and external partners on operational initiatives and technology projects. 
 Participate in the implementation of IT standards, workflows, best practices, and department projects while promoting a responsive, service-oriented approach to technology support.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
 Teach Middle School Technology classes, following the PLTW Design and Modeling course for 6th grade, Computer Science for Innovators &#38; Makers for 7th grade, and in Automation &#38; Robotics in 8th grade 
 Collaborate with the Technology Department Head and department colleagues on instructional practices, assessment practices, and enhancements to the curriculum 
 Model and teach acceptable use of technology and digital citizenship concepts and skills, including AI Literacy 
 Lead clubs or robotics teams, as assigned 
 Develop and teach intermediate and advanced Computer Science and Engineering courses at the high school level (grades 9 through 12.) 
 Organize and maintain the innovation and design lab (i.e robotics supplies, 3D printers, laser cutters, etc.) 
 Collaborate with faculty in other departments to explore opportunities for interdisciplinary projects. 
 Provide faculty, students, and staff with guidance on using educational technology. 
 Lead and advise the Prep School Robotics League Teams 
 Demonstrate effective classroom management and the ability to establish and maintain a collaborative, supportive learning environment 
 Establish student safety protocols for tools and equipment

 Poly Prep seeks applicants for the position of  Technical Support Specialist . The ideal candidate is someone seeking to learn and grow in the field of technology, and willing to collaborate with a strong team in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to think on one&#8217;s feet are essential to this position.&#xa0; The Technical Support Specialist will work with a wide range of individuals in various roles throughout the school, and help ensure that our faculty, staff, and students have access to the tools they need. This is an immediate hire. 
 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES 
 
 Provide level one support for employee devices, as well as school and personally-owned student devices 
 Maintain inventory of parts and assets installed through classroom and office spaces 
 Manage and maintain the audio/visual components of the school&#8217;s major performance spaces 
 Assist event planning teams to establish technical support needs and work closely with those teams to run the events 
 Attend and participate in technology department and faculty meetings, and after-school events during the school year 
 Other duties as assigned by the Head of Technology 
 QUALIFICATIONS 
 Education: &#xa0; Bachelor&#8217;s degree.&#xa0; Computer Science or other technology focus preferred.&#xa0; 
 Experience: &#xa0; 3+ years working in a technical support or help desk role.&#xa0; Experience in this role should include working with multiple platforms including Windows, Mac OS, iOS, and Android, as well as performing diagnostics and repairs of technology systems such as tablets, laptops, and desktop computers.&#xa0; Proven ability to translate &quot;tech-speak&quot; into plain English for non-technical departments.&#xa0; Additional experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and JAMF a plus. 
 Special Requirements: &#xa0; Flexibility with schedule as major events requiring technical support occasionally happen outside of normal school hours 
 Salary: $75,000 - $85,000&#xa0;
