								<description>San Luis Obispo, California,  Conversio Health is hiring a full-time Clinical Pharmacist in our  San Luis Obispo  based closed-door pharmacy that has a passion for personalized medicine and respiratory care. In addition to our competitive rates and full traditional benefits package, we offer flexible schedules (five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts) and have no nights or weekend schedules. You must hold a current CA Pharmacist license.  Compounding training provided. 
 As a Clinical Pharmacist, you&#8217;ll provide expertise in drug distribution, compounding, and provide clinical insights in COPD and asthma. You will: 
 
 Directly oversees the company&#8217;s drug distribution and refill process. 
 Ensure that medications are dispensed safely and appropriately. 
 Optimize therapies for COPD and asthma patients. 
 Educate on respiratory therapies, delivery devices, and virtual pulmonary rehab program. 
 Provide clinical consultations for providers and patients telephonically. 
 Responsible for documenting all clinical pharmacist interventions. 
 Ensure compounding compliance with USP 797 standards and all SOPs. 
 
 
 
 
 
 Must possess a valid and current California Pharmacist License

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
 
 Proficient understanding of medical terminology, health conditions, and regulations as they pertain to the company. 
 Excellent organizational skills and time management in order to manage multiple tasks throughout the day. 
 Excellent computer and office systems skills including all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required and must be able to adapt quickly to learning new software. 
 Must have demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills. 
 Excellent communication as demonstrated by the ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and managers.

 Main Purpose of Job 
 The main purpose of this position is to serve as the Assistant Director, Policy and Analytics (P&#38;A) Unit and primary pharmacy-related policy expert for the Office of Pharmacy Services (OPS). This includes oversight of pharmacy-related policies and requires high-level pharmacy expertise to initiate, plan, design and execute strategic projects utilizing drug utilization trends, cost containment measures, budget forecasting, national and regional policies, in order to develop drug coverage policies by the Program. This position oversees the functions of the P&#38;A Unit, the Pharmacists Professional Services (PPS) and the Clinical Services (CS) Divisions.
 &#xa0; 
 This position is eligible for hybrid telework. 
 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
 Qualified candidates must possess the following:
 
 
 A valid Maryland Pharmacist license from the MD Board of Pharmacy 
 A Doctorate degree (Pharm D) in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university 
 Six (6) years of professional management experience, including a minimum of three (3) years of experience supervising other professional staff 
 Three (3) years of professional experience in clinical pharmacy, and one of the following: overseeing and coordinating the general operation of a unit, data analytics, applying rules and regulations or exercising responsibility for the development of policies and procedures 
 Two (2) years of experience in monitoring emerging drug technologies, as well as, recommending and implementing drug coverage policies&#xa0;OR&#xa0;Two (2) years of experience in developing drug coverage policies using drug utilization, cost, budget limitations, and national/regional policies related to pharmacy services 
 Two (2) years of Outcome/Cost-based studies experience 
 Two (2) years of experience planning, initiating, and implementing innovative ideas in the Pharmacy arena 
 
 
 
 DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
 Desired candidates should be a self-starter and self-motivated and have experience creating, maintaining and managing drug pipeline reports (minimum of two years); experience with pharmacological data analytics; and,&#xa0; Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPSW) certification.
