The Athletic Director at Western Wyoming Community College provides strategic leadership for a competitive NJCAA Division I athletics program, aligning team success with the College's mission and values. The position oversees coaches and staff, promotes a culture of accountability and sportsmanship, and ensures compliance with all governing standards. The Director is responsible for sound financial stewardship, including budget development, resource allocation, and fiscal oversight. This role also drives program competitiveness through effective recruitment, retention, and development of student-athletes and coaches. In addition, the Athletic Director leads fundraising and external engagement efforts, building strong relationships with alumni, donors, and community partners to support scholarships and sustain long-term program success. Minimum Qualifications: ATHLETIC DIRECTOR MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Bachelor's Degree in sports management, physical education, recreation, educational leadership or closely related field 2. Four (4) years of experience in athletic administration, college level coaching or similar types of leadership & supervisory experience 3. A demonstrated ability in;

Commitment to student-athlete success Equivalency Statement For those candidates who do not exactly meet all the minimum qualifications, an equivalent combination of education and experience, which has provided comparable knowledge and abilities, may be acceptable. Preferred Qualifications: ATHLETIC DIRECTOR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. Master's in sports management, physical education or closely related field 2. Athletic administration at the NJCAA level 3.
