Virginia Military Institute Athletics, an NCAA Division I member and member of the North East Conference is seeking an Assistant Lacrosse Coach.

The successful candidate will:

•Assist in organizing and directing all phases of the Lacrosse Program.

•Recruit and evaluate potential student-athletes.

•Coordinate team travel arrangements.

•Design and implement training programs focused on athlete development, injury prevention, and performance enhancement

•Collaborate with coaching staff, athletic department, and VMI administration to support student-athlete academic progress and personal development

•Perform administrative duties and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

•Ensure compliance with VMI, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree as well as Lacrosse coaching experience.
•    Must posses a valid drivers license
•    Demonstrated success in training, mentoring, and developing student-athletes
•    Proven track record in recruiting and retaining quality student-athletes
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to working with staff and administrators

Additional Considerations:

Some (generally two (2)+ years) of College Lacrosse coaching experience

•    Work well within a team environment and meet deadlines while balancing multiple tasks.
